Summer solstice exhibition.
I paint with oil based ink on to a sheet of glass. I then scratch and scribble in to the ink. When I am happy with the image, I press a piece of paper against the glass and the ink is transferred to the paper. Then I hang the painting form a washing line in my studio for a week to dry. Then I add watercolour and pencil till its finished. All this takes at least two weeks.
The whole process is fraught with disaster. I ruin more pictures than I finish, but I think this gives the work their spontaneity and life. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
All the originals shown come in a 10 x 8 inch simple black frame with an ivory mount.
I do have larger works available. If you are interested in purchasing a larger work please contact me.
Invest in a family heirloom of the future, something for the grandkids to take to the antique roadshow.
